Increased activity on the island will increase traffic on and to the island, with larger amounts during the major events. These would require detailed traffic management planning, especially at the intersection to the state highway, which would be carried out during the design and resource consent stages, and on an event by event basis to ensure the affect on the users of the rest of the island is minimised. Likewise the issue of parking will be addressed as part of the management plan.
